Transitions |

Note: After applying the
page transition effect, view the changes in a browser after saving your
work.
1. Click Format, Page Transition on the Format toolbar.
The Page Transitions Dialog Box appears. |

2. In the Event drop down box
the following options are available: Page Enter, Page Exit, Site Enter,
Site Exit. Click the Page Exit choice. |

3. In the Durations (seconds)
box, type in the number 2. If too short a duration of time is entered
here, then the eye won't register the transition. If the number is too
large, the page transition takes too long to occur. Don't be afraid to
change this number until the desired effect is reached on your page. |

4. In the Transition effect
drop down box the following options are available: No effect (default),
Blend, Box In, Box Out, Circle In, Circle Out, Wipe Up, Wipe Down, Wipe
Right, Wipe Left, Vertical Blinds, Horizontal Blinds, Checkerboard Across,
Checkerboard Down, Random Dissolve, Split Vertical In, Split Vertical Out,
Split Horizontal In, Split Horizontal Out, Strips Left Down, Strips Left
Up, Strips Right Down, Strips Right Up, Random Bars Horizontal, Random
Bars Vertical, Random. Make a choice that is appealing. We chose Random
Dissolve for this page's transition effect upon leaving this tutorial. |

5. Click OK, and then save your work. It is good advise
to view Page Transitions in a browser after saving, and then make fine
tuning adjustments to it before publishing.
Caution: Overusing the Page Transitions effect can be
distracting. Use it sparingly, and remember that consistency is queen.
When you depart this page you'll see what I mean. |
