FrontPage
Help - Accessing
the Image Properties Dialog Box. |
Note: An image file will have to
be inserted before you can proceed with this tutorial. (Save the one below
to your computer if desired. |

1. Right click on the image to access the Image
Properties Dialog Box.
2. There are three tabs located in the Image Properties
Dialog Box, General, Video, and Appearance. |

3. The General tab appears first. In it
the Image Source will appear with the name of the image and where it is
located. The image type will also be listed, i.e. whether the image is GIF
or JPEG. The radio button is enabled beside one or the other to display
file type. You will also notice an Alternative representations box. This
space is where alt tags are placed. See the Submission Nutrition tutorial
on link tags and alt tags placement on web
pages. |

4. The Appearance tab assigns how the
image will appear on the page. The Alignment box is most useful. There the
image can be placed in the precise location wanted, and another image or
text can then be aligned properly with it. The choices are Default (far
left), left, right, top, text top, middle, absmiddle, baseline, bottom,
absbottom, and center. |

5. Click on the Alignment box drop down list and then
assign the image to the different positions to see how the image lines up
on the page.
Helpful Hint: Right clicking gives access to a
number of options in FrontPage including but not limited to Page
Properties, Table Properties, Cell Properties, and Font Properties.
Available options change depending on the procedure performed.
Note: Experiment with the different options to see
how the image aligns on the page, and adjust the settings accordingly. |
