- Defining hyperlink custom colors. |

Note: Be
sure to use colors that complement each other but are easily recognizable as the Hyperlink,
Visited Hyperlink, and Active Hyperlink.
1. Click Format, Background.
The Page Properties Dialog Box appears.

2. In the right hand middle of the Page
Properties Dialog Box, click the Hyperlink Drop Down List Box and scroll
to Custom located at the bottom of the drop down list. Click Custom. The
Color Dialog Box appears. |

3. There are two headings on the left
hand side of the Color Dialog Box, Basic Colors and Custom Colors. Click
on one of the white squares located beneath the words, Custom Colors. |

4. Highlight Red on the far right hand
side of the Color Dialog Box, and type in the number 160 in the space
provided. Similarly, type in the number 40 in the Green space, and the
number 37 in the Blue space. Click the Add to Custom Colors bar. A deep
red color appears in Custom Colors where the white square was clicked as
described in Step Three. |

5. Click OK in the Color Dialog Box. Notice the defined
color is now presented in the Hyperlink Drop Down List Box. Then click the
Visited Hyperlink Drop Down List Box and scroll to Custom located at the
bottom of the drop down list. Click Custom. The Color Dialog Box appears
again.
6. Click on the white square next to the defined deep
red color as in Step Three.
7. Highlight Red on the far right hand side of the
Color Dialog Box, and type in the number 40 in the space provided.
Similarly, type in the number 91 in the Green space, and the number 147 in
the Blue space. Click the Add to Custom Colors bar. A dark blue color
appears next to the deep red color under Custom. |

8. Click OK in the Color Dialog Box. Notice the defined
color is now presented in the Visited Hyperlink Drop Down List Box. Now,
click the Active Hyperlink Drop Down List Box and scroll to Custom located
at the bottom of the drop down list. Click Custom. The Color Dialog Box
appears again.
9. Highlight Red on the far right hand side of the
Color Dialog Box, and type in the number 55 in the space provided.
Similarly, type in the number 112 in the Green space, and the number 46 in
the Blue space. Click the Add to Custom Colors bar. A dark green color
appears next to the dark blue color under Custom. |

10. Click OK in the Color Dialog Box.
Notice the defined color is now presented in the Active Hyperlink Drop
Down List Box. Click OK in the Page Properties Dialog Box. |

Note: Custom colors may all be
defined at once in Step Four by clicking a white square, entering the
custom color numbers of your choice in the Red, Green, and Blue spaces
provided, then the Add to Custom Colors bar. Just repeat the process until
all custom hyperlink colors are defined, then proceed with adding them to
the Hyperlink, Visited Hyperlink, and Active Hyperlink boxes. |
