: A sound file will
have to be saved to your computer so it can be retrieved and then
embedded.
1. With the web page loaded, right click and choose
Page Properties from the pop-up box. The Page Properties Dialog Box
appears.
2. In the Page Properties Dialog
Box, use the Location box to set up which sound file plays. In the space
provided, either type in the name of the sound file to be embedded, or
click Browse to go to where the sound file is stored. Click on the sound
file to have its name appear in the Location box.
3. After selecting the sound file to be
played in the background on your web page, decide how many times the file
should repeat in the Loop box. It can be set to play a specific number of
times (1-99), or to loop indefinitely.
4. When the file is listed in the
Location box, and the Looping feature has been set, click OK to embed the
file into your page. Save your work.
Note: If your visitors have a
sound card, they should be able to hear the sound file when they open your
page in a browser. Be careful when embedding sound files to use them
sparingly and with some warning. Guests may not want to hear your choice
of sounds and leave your site.
