Note: This tutorial shows how to use the Mesh Warp
tool. I use the Mesh Warp tool to create the silly looks on the
celebrities for the Know Your Goofy Celebrity Contest.
1. First we need a picture to work with. Save the
picture below of Ed McMahan below.
2. Make sure the Fill Tool is enabled on
the Tool Bar and then choose Effects, Distort, Mesh Warp. The Mesh Warp
dialog box appears with the picture represented below.
3. Notice the grid that is placed over
the picture. Slide the Gridlines slider until it reads 6 and the picture
appears as below.
4. Place your mouse point over one of the
mesh points and move it slightly to give Ed a goofy smile as indicated
below. Click okay. If you wish to warp poor Ed some more just repeat the
process and increase or decrease the number of mesh points for desired
effects.
5. The picture below represents the finished
version. Thanks Ed, I knew you wouldn't mind being warped.
