Background
Magic - Image Blend |
Note: When constructing many backgrounds,
banners, and buttons with Background Magic for an image archive, the
Image Blend must never be more than 70% of a Background Magic
tile. |
1. Let's say for the sake of this tutorial that you
want a particular background tile to be used in an archive. You
like the color and texture of the original tile, but you are
concerned about the 70% rule. That can done within the rules even
on tiles that are less flamboyant in nature. |
2. Drag and drop the two tiles pictured below into
the Image 1 and Image 2 locations. |

3. The Final Image at this point is too
milky. Let's fix that. Click on Image 1 to enable it.
Then click Erode, Keep, and Soften, Keep two times each. |

4. Click on Image 2. Then click Sharpen, Keep
two times. |
5. Slide the Image Blend slider to 68%.
Then click on the Final Image tile and then click
Sharpen, Keep one time. Then move the Brightness slider to 95%,
Red to 103%, Green leave at 100%, and Blue 93%. Those procedures
result in the representation below. |

6. Click on the tile below to view how it looks on
a web page. There are slight differences, but the original
Background tile and the newly created tile are very similar. |
