5. Keep your finished transparent alligator_1 sprite on
your work area in Image Composer. You will need it for the Arranging Sprites
tutorial that follows this one.
Don't Forget: Duplicate your image before you
experiment with effects. Effects are usually layered on an image in a
certain order to achieve a certain result.
Tip: Increasing the transparency amount all the way
to 100 leaves no transparency on the image. Decreasing the transparency
amount to 0 makes the image invisible, completely transparent.
Note: Custom defined colors work best when saved in
jpeg format because gif format colors are limited.
An Encouraging Word: The Effects tool box is full
of options to both subtly and dynamically manipulate images. By changing
values and settings inside the Details boxes many variations are possible.
Some effects require only small incremental adjustments to achieve large
changes, while still other effects may require large adjustments and have
little perceived effect.
