1. Click Insert, From File, then find the
Stubbys_blank_button.jpg you just saved and click on the file name. Click
OK.
2. Constrict the composition space until it encompasses
exactly the Stubbys_blank_button.jpg that was just inserted. |

3. Click Insert, Word Art from the menu
then type Products in the space provided. (See the Inserting Word Art
tutorial). Then click the font drop down list and click on Kaufmann Bd BT,
then click on the font size drop down list and click on font size 20.
Click anywhere on your Image Composer screen and Products appears as a
sprite. |

4. Click the Effects button and then in
the Effects Tool box click on Gradient (Square). Your gradient colors
should already be set according to the Gradient
Tricks tutorial. Click Apply. |

5. Now scroll to the Edge effect.
It should already be set to an edge of one (1), and Color, black.
Click
Apply. |

6. Then scroll to the Drop Shadow effect.
It should already be set to a 315 angle and black color. Set the distance
to 3. Your other settings should be fine if you have not changed them.
Click Apply. |

7. Now center the Products sprite over the
Stubby_blank_button .jpg and then save it. Then make buttons in the same
fashion for the words Home, Email, Lair, Links, and Services. Save them
separately in the same fashion.
Hint: Starting out with the word that has the most
letters assures that all smaller words will fit within the space provided.
Adjust font size as needed. |
