The following
procedure constructs a left side background, banners, buttons, and text
with Background Magic. You must construct a full background first to be
able to do this tutorial. See Custom Full
Backgrounds.
1. Construct a full background using the Custom Full Backgrounds
tutorial. Then left click the Borders icon in Background Magic. (Pictured
below).
2. The Make Left Border
Dialog Box appears. (Pictured below).
3. Click Shadow to the default width (8)
by clicking the Shadow icon. Note: You can adjust the width
of the shadow in pixels with the Set Shadow width slider pictured below.
4. Set the left border width slider to 150
pixels. (See below). Click Save and save the left background you just
fashioned with an appropriate name. Then click the Done icon.
Note: Leave Background
Magic open to this image tile if you wish to do the Blank
Buttons/Banners tutorial. If you don't you can always load your
saved image tile later as described in the Full
Background tutorial.
