Cutie likes kitties; but kitties do not like Cutie.
They scurry hurriedly away when she sniffs around their food dishes. They
cower in recesses where she can not fit. Kitties do not like Cutie.
As long as Melon Head is there at the time reprimanding
her before an incident occurs, there is usually no problem. Without proper
supervision however, things tend to get rather hectic for mammals of
feline persuasion.
The doggie wonder of cantaloupe color and the gourd
skull human, her companion of choice, went to see Melon Hearted Mama. A
mother kitty and her litters live there with her. Cutie was properly
greeted by the Melon Hearted one; but Cutie was not allowed inside the
house. Cutie likes kitties; but kitties do not like Cutie.
Melon Head Daddy wanted assurance that Cantaloupe Cutie
could not get out of the backyard. He did not want Cutie to wander off.
Melon Head loves Cutie; and Cutie loves Melon Head. He was properly
informed of the backyard’s security; but still the one with the
watermelon cranium was concerned for his canine cousin’s safety.
"I think the cats will run to the bedroom when
Cutie comes in." Melon Hearted Mama said, "If you will hold her
on your way to the living room, everything will work just fine."
Melon Daddy opened the back door and reached for Cutie’s
collar. Cutie knew Daddy wanted her under his control, so she proceeded
with caution. With guardedness the pair inched into the kitchen. Melon
Hearted Mama was shooing the cats toward the bedroom. The cats suddenly
all turned around at once, and saw the cantaloupe-colored canine. Their
little eyes got as big around as saucers. Three kittens hurriedly
retreated to the bedroom, offering no reservations in doing so. One of the
kittens from an earlier litter freaked and viciously assaulted her mother.
Cutie had a big grin on her face; she thought it was funny witnessing the
mayhem. Mama tried to break up the fight. Suddenly the two tabbies ceased
their hostilities toward each other and pounced on Mama, sinking their
claws through her pants and into the skin on her leg.
"Ow," Mama said, "Well, I don’t think
that’s gonna work." Cutie likes kitties; but kitties do not like
Cutie.
